Sunrise Rescue is a 501(c)(3) foster-based cat rescue in Oceanside, California. We serve San Diego County and South Orange County.
Founded with a simple goal: no healthy or treatable cat should die in a shelter for lack of space. We pull cats from overcrowded shelters, take in strays, and help families who can no longer care for their pets.
Every cat lives in a real foster home. Our foster families provide socialization, medical recovery space, and love until each cat finds a permanent family. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility. Our cats live in homes, the way cats should.
All cats in our program are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receive any medical care they need before adoption. Many of our cats come to us with health issues that require extra treatment. We never turn away a cat because of cost.
We are a small, volunteer-run organization. Every dollar donated goes directly to cat care: vet bills, food, litter, and supplies for our foster homes.
